Blue Static is an open source software development shop started in May 2006. The site was started after I took down my previous website and released all the projects there under the GNU GPL. I am committed to open source and believe strongly in free software. Blue Static specializes in desktop Mac applications and standards-compliant web applications.
You can find my DSA public key, used to cryptographically sign releases, here.
My name is Robert Sesek and I'm 20 years old. I'm from northern California, but I now study Television at Boston University in Massachusetts. I'm currently interning at Google in Manhattan, working on the Chrome browser. I became involved through the Chromium open source project where I've worked on developing the Mac port over the past year. I have over 9 years of development experience and am fluent in numerous programming languages and environments including PHP, C, C++, Objective-C/Cocoa (both Touch and Mac), Python, Bash, CSS/HTML, JavaScript, and Java.
I don't have many hobbies outside of computing, but I enjoy photography. I've been using my Nikon D200 for the past half-decade and take mostly landscapes and cityscapes. I like experimenting with motion and light both in still-frame and video photography. I am a long-time Mac user; my first Mac was the original five-flavor iMac that ran Mac OS 8.6. Currently, I use a unibody MacBook Pro and have a 2 Terabyte Drobo external array.
