    I am setting up a Bugdar 1.2.4
    As it it would be used for some relatively confidential project, no external user should be allowed to see anything without logging and users will only be registered by a developper or an administrator, ot by themselves.

    So, is there a simple way to get the login screen first without any tabs other display in background before the user is logged ? or must I go inside the sources to search how to do it ?

    I will also have to simplify some display like removing votes, hiding reporter, report time, assignement and priorities to compact bugs header, ...
    Is it the good way to touch templates ? If yes, is there any point that MUST be followed or avoided, ie in order to enable later update easily ? Any other recommendation ?

    Go into Administration --> Users & Permissions --> Usergroups --> Unregistered/Not Logged-In. Also repeat for Registered Users, only giving Developers and Administrators access. If you flip all the necessary permission bits to No, you should be set security wise. You can also disable new registrations in the Options section. These won't change the UI the way you want, but it will prevent unauthorized access to data.

    All the UI modifications you want should be possible using templates. You can use this condition to check for a logged-in user.

    <if condition="$bugsys->userinfo['userid']">
    <!-- User is logged in -->

    I have already started to touch some templates. Some points are not as difficult as I was afraid, but there are so many things to discover that your exemple is helpfull.

    Thanks you very much.
